Will Wireless Come From Hot Air Ballons?

I guess a man named Jerry Knoblach wants to bring wireless to everyone by transmitting it from Helium filled balloons floating near space. His idea has caught the eye of Google. Here is the link to the Wall Street Journal Article.

Two things I found hilarious about all this:
  1. The balloon takes the signals from people's ground based wireless devices. I better secure my home transmitter!!! :)
  2. Mr. Knoblach uses farmers to launch his balloons because: "Farmers are reliable, tey have to milk the cows in the morning." Hey Mr Knoblauch, how about using physicists who do a wide variety of things in the morning and are the most trustworthy of all human beings.
