We are a spam blog?

I noticed I couldn't make a post and when I went to figure out why, I came across this:

Your blog is locked

Blogger's spam-prevention robots have detected that
your blog has characteristics of a spam blog. (What's a spam blog?) Since you're
an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated
spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerely apologize for this false
positive.

We received your unlock request on December 18, 2007. On
behalf of the robots, we apologize for locking your non-spam blog. Please be
patient while we take a look at your blog and verify that it is not spam.

Find out more about how Blogger is fighting spam blogs.

I cannot figure out what about the blog is making it a spam blog. I know I make controversial posts, but I don't know who or what is spamming. I'm confused. Hopefully we will be back on track from now on.

  1. I must say that my first thought was, "If the Blog is locked then how is Joe posting?"

  2. Well guys, despite our best efforts for the past year, it turns out that there is no real difference between our musings and the output of a computer program designed to generate random text. Congratulations!

  3. Well, I guess I couldn't say it any better than Nick did. Although, I have to give the kudos to the computer programmers that come up with programs that muse about everything from philosophy to string theory. They must have even more time to burn than we do. I mean, it's one thing to waste time musing about such topics yourself, but it's quite another to outsource even your time wasting to a computer. Talk about efficiency.

P.S.: I wonder what random thoughts those computers come up with about warp drives and cosmology, etc.? Oh well, I think I prefer our honest-to-goodness random thoughts rather than their artificial ones.
