More Suggested Reading

If any of you have ever seen the movie The Great Race with Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis then here is a book that might interest you:

The Prisoner of Zenda by Anthony Hope

The last third of the movie is a direct parody of the book, written in 1895. It was a very popular action/romance novel in the first part of the last century. It is also quite interesting to read because it was written before the women's rights movement took over so there are parts where the author refers to female characters as "a fair, buxom, wench" who looked "saucily" at the main character. Don't worry the book is clean.

This book also inspired several spinoffs and paradies and has found its way into mainstream culture. Other versions include Double Star by Robert Heinlein and the 1990's movie Dave.
