Circular Reasoning

So I was trying to find the definition of the word prebendaryship and I ran into an interesting circle of logic. I was using thefreedictionary.com:

prebendaryship: n. The office of a prebendary.

prebendary: n. A member of the Anglican clergy who receives a prebend.

prebend: n. A prebendary.

I found these definitions so enlightening.

  1. Yeah, these are the same type of people who grade my essays for my humanities type classes and use their all powerful logic to come up with some reason why my paper is bad.

It seems some departments employ TAs, political science I'm looking at you, to spend all their might, mind, and strength to try to give reasons why your paper is terrible. They think the only way to get somebody to learn is if they tear them down.

Then they get employed by dictionary publishers to write circular definitions. Basically a political science TA lives a life being somebody else's stooge with no power to think clearly for themselves.
