PhD Comics and Daniel Whiteson (of UC Irvine) Explain Particle Physics.



This video is probably the best explanation of our current understanding of particle physics I have seen. (With an emphasis on our current fascination with the Higgs Boson) And of course the physicist doing the explaining is the UC Irvine professor Daniel Whiteson who has paired up with PhD comics to produce this awesome video.

    I like that explanation.  I'm teaching an introductory astronomy class right now and we're getting to cosmology, which of course is intimately connected to particle physics.  I get a lot of questions about the LHC and the Higgs because the students have heard that in the news before, so I'm going to direct them here first.
