Today while grading a lab report I came across this gem:
"When I increases the Magnetic field increases"
For a brief moment I thought, "That's bad grammar." But quickly got over it and gave the student full points. (extra points to the first person to say why the above sentence is correct both in terms of physics and in terms of grammar.)
I = current.

ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of when I was having someone proofread my senior thesis. He was constantly confused as to why I was referring to psi when my paper had nothing to do with pressures (let alone pounds per square inch).
