Excellent Science Reporting

This from the AP's coverage of NASA's Themis mission (whose PI taught my plasmas class last spring):

The Themis results could have bearing on how scientists predict the severity of solar storms and their effects on power grids, airline and military communications and satellite signals.

Because "communications" and "signals" are clearly different things.
