Hawking and Space Travel

Hawking has been advocating the idea that humans should begin colonizing on other planets for some time now. He just released his latest speech to the BBC Radio. He also is being awarded the world's oldest award for scientific achievement, the Copley medal, from Britain's Royal Society on Thursday. Previous winners include Albert Einstein and Charles Darwin.

I don't know that we would see such things in our lives, but I do believe we need to be thinking about the future. I am at least glad to see someone doing that. Even if he turns out to be wrong, or if the global warming people turn out to be wrong, or those concerned with the national debt etc... at least these people are continuously thinking how to help the next generation. I salute such people.
