Well the question that has been on my mind for some time has finally been resolved. I decided to stay here at BYU another year and get a second major in Philosophy. I guess I am doing it not because I think it will be good for my career but because I just want to learn more and understand things from a new or different perspective. But mostly I am doing it because it feels right. I'm sure my mother will cry when I tell her, because she is always asking when I'll get a real job and she was always encouraging me to go into business or something where I can make money. I never had a desire to have a "real" job and make "real" money (whatever that means anyway). I guess I will have to write two theses but one will be done after this summer and the other I can start right (write, haha) now.
I guess there are somethings in our lives where we don't understand why we do them until much later. I think this is one of those experiences. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
If I didn't decide to get two majors I might have been done a year earlier too. I defiantly wish you the best.
ReplyDeleteIt will be good to have a philosopher on the blog. Whatever you do with life make it adventurous. You only get one life, you might as well have some fun with it.
