At first I thought you might be posting about Iran.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is why they developed the electoral college. Many people, especially back in the day, thought "common people" may not know enough or be smart enough to make the correct decision.
It's a debatable concept for sure. Unfortunately our "smart leaders" also seem to make "less effective" decisions for the country and can have a biased view.
On the other hand, I don't want people who think science is a tool derived by Satan to break your faith to be influencing public policy either. (When spent my two years in Florida/Southern Alabama I met many people who felt this was true about college in general.)
Now, the odds are this man fits in neither of the above mentioned categories, nor do most people, I was just trying to illustrate why things like an electoral college are debatable.
